After taking the classes, I found that I was still struggling with writing. I then took private lessons with Mr.Han who helped me to cross the 90 mark. Mr.Han is an awesome teacher who genuinely cares for his students and is always available to answer questions, even when he is on vacation. Group classes are fine. However, if there are specific areas that need work, I would sign up for private lessons (they are expensive, but worth it). “It really saves me time and effort.
I’m from Singapore School. I thought SAT was easy. I took it and I got only 1250. Hahaha…Much lower than my expectations. I went to Westwood Prep and met Mr. Han and Mr. Christopher. They were thorough in their approach. I found them very helpful because from the beginning, I was able to develop a long term plan of how I could tackle all the components of SAT.Mr. Han helped me brush up on my math skills and fixed my timing sense. The verbal lessons provided were also very useful. On the other hand, Mr. Christopher broke down the thought process behind each English-related question and this helped me form a consistent way to tackle the the tricky Grammar questions.Finally, I should say that I found their practice exams were harder than the actual SAT. Which is Good! Hahaha… I was quite frustrated at first but my lower scores on the real past ractice tests made me keep pushing myself. Huge Thank You for my teachers.

Mr. Han, my teacher, provided multiple strategies to tackle problems to accommodate personal strengths and weaknesses. His approach to teaching is engaging and in response to the students’ needs. There wasn’t a time that went by where he did not ask for feedback and updates on students’ individual progress. While he’s fast in covering content, he was willing to slow down when asked. He’s friendly, patient, and responsive to emails if I had questions for him outside class hours. Definitely recommended.
I recommend Mr. Han without hesitation. He taught me the most solid skills so I could get through the tests more quickly. In addition, he found some areas where I needed to fix. In short, we worked as a team and Mr. Han handled the coaching part beautifully.
