Our programs can:
Increase the number of students who take and achieve a readiness score on college admissions tests
Support counselors with rigorous, relevant professional development
Encourage a college-going culture in every partnering school
It is core to our mission: helping students from all backgrounds attain their goal of attending college. Our knowledge and understanding of school communities, combined with years of collaboration with school leaders, makes us a powerful learning partner.

For Counselors
For over 30 years, The Princeton Review has been helping college–bound students achieve their higher-education goals and navigate the college admissions process from start to finish. We build professional development for counselors, teachers, and administrators that engages and empowers learners to help drive a college-going culture and improve equity of access to information about postsecondary options for all students.

OUR PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH
According to Malcolm Knowles’s theory of andragogy, adults learn better with approaches based on problem solving and collaboration. With that in mind, our professional development sessions focus on enabling college counselors to incorporate new skills into the context of their own knowledge and professional experience.

Our sessions include facilitated discussion and debate to help participants:
Identify their starting point
Construct a roadmap to achieve their objectives

Sessions may include reviewing scholarly articles, case studies, and the personal experience of participants. At the conclusion of each session, attendees will leave with measurable goals and an effective strategy to achieve them.

We know every school and every district is unique, which is why our professional development program features a variety of sessions that can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each partner.
Professional Development Options

Creating a College-Going Culture: Getting students into college takes more than a rigorous academic environment. Counselors will learn about the non-academic factors that impact a student’s ability to apply and graduate from college. We will focus especially on the student-teacher relationship and the experiences that inspire students to see college in their future.
Post-Secondary and Academic Advising for College Readiness: What does that being “college ready” mean? We’ll help counselors identify all the factors that define being “college ready.” There will be a particular emphasis on the importance of beyond-the-classroom goals and the many post-secondary options available to twenty-first century high school graduates.
College Admissions and Applications: There is a perception that it’s never been harder to get into college, yet schools are accepting more applicants than ever. How can this be? Counselors will evaluate the relative merits of each major post-secondary track and how to navigate the application process for each one. We’ll pay particular attention to the selective college admissions path–the most complex and most often misunderstood.

Financial Aid and Scholarships: We’ll walk counselors through the required steps to apply for financial aid so they will be able to advise students with confidence. We’ll also review the daunting Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the differences

between common aid programs.v

Transition Years: The middle school to high school and the high school to college transitions demand much of our students academically, socially, and psychologically. We’ll help counselors identify and analyze the difficulties that arise with each transition and give them the tools to prepare their students to succeed in the face of new academic and social challenges .
The Power of the Pen: Even though essays are a required component of every college application, students are rarely prepared for the challenge of writing a personal, thoughtful essay about something that is meaningful to them. This session will focus on examining what admissions officers are really looking for, so counselor will be able to coach their students on how to craft an outstanding essay

Our test preparation programs offer:
ADMISSIONS CONSULTING
The approach we take in guiding our clients is tailored to their different
aspirations, personality, and background. We help our clients make the
best impression to schools and also lighten the burden of their
recommenders.
Our excellent track record in helping Indonesian clients gain
unconditional LoA (Letter of Acceptance) at the top schools demonstrates
that.
Profile Development
Top schools look for candidates with clear career goals and unique
background. We will shape your profile by helping you develop a clear
career roadmap and uncover the most interesting part of your background
that will help differentiate you from other applicants.
School Selection
We know the top schools inside out. After we get to know you well from
shaping your profile, we will recommend a list of schools that fit you
best.
CV/Resume Editing
Top schools expect to see in a resume specific types of information and
the format they should be presented in. We will not only show you what
they are, but also help you create a higher quality CV than that of the
average people admitted. You will become a more competitive applicant as a
result.
Essays Editing
Admissions committees are humans. Your ability to move them emotionally
through your essays can ultimately be the deciding factor in you getting
accepted or not. Our 100% local team enables us to relate to Indonesians
better than anyone. This allows us to provide unrivalled expertise in
helping Indonesian applicants put their best foot forward in the most
important part of their application, i.e. the essays.
Recommendation Letters Drafting
Having people write you an in-depth recommendation letter for multiple
schools amidst their busy schedules is a lot to ask. We will help lighten
your recommenders’ burden by shortening the list of questions they have to
answer, allow them to answer in bullet points, and write them in Bahasa.
We will then draft for them all the recommendation letters in English that
they have to submit on your behalf.

Mock Interviews
You need to know what to say and how to say them. We can best prepare you
for your interviews by providing a mock interview in-person with a local
alum and over Skype with a former Admissions Director.

It’s not uncommon for applicants to get waitlisted. As insiders, our team
of former Admissions Directors can best advise you on the strategic
approach to take in response.
